Bree Fraser (aka. ‘strawbreearts’) is a Brisbane-based emerging artist, with her practice focusing on figurative painting and illustrative portraiture. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Visual Arts/Bachelor of Business at Griffith University, Queensland College of Art. Exploring themes of personal identity through the avenues of cultural heritage, relationships and childhood nostalgia, she challenges notions of individuality and belonging. Delving into these concepts, she paints from the photographic archive and depicts the human subject to convey raw emotions and a sense of intimacy.
